made the 700 mile round trip up to the shoup area to try and catch a good old steelhead on the salmon river, we made it up there thurs night in time for an hour or two of fishing. Hooked into one immediately and fought it for a good 10 minutes before it spit the hook, damn i would like to have atleast seen that one. Up early in the morning to good weather and not so good fishing, 5 fish caught out of 6 anglers in the little stretch we were fishing all day, i hooked and broke one off and landed one right before dark and that was it for the day. a little fishing sat before we left home but nothing to show for it. Good to get up there but from the sounds of it i was a week late, as usual. awesome scenery though heres a few pics.

i love those last two pictures with the snow falling they look amazing. i always say that area is amazing the fishing is just a little bit extra. I think this will be the first fall i havnt been down there sense i was a kid. but hopefuly this spring
