Chesterfield last saturday was cold, windy, wet and yes Snowy. The catching was great dispite the conditions.
We landed many fish in the three to four pound range.
All fish caught on 3" Maniac Minnows in color #013 sauced up with carolina Lunker Sauce.

i meant is the ice fishing good in general........ i can see there was no ice when he took the pic
The ice fishing can be very good at times if you are in the right place, with the right lure/bait. Try Maniac Gizzy Bugs and 1-1/2" Cut'r Bugs in Glow colors, Pearl white, Pink, Chartreuse. My favorite Glow is the orange glow!
The fish in the pic is not beat up, but missing part of it's Gill plate. I took a photo of the fish because it was a bright colored Male.
The Fall fishing at most of the Trout reservoirs is great, if you use the right tactics in the shallows.
We throw Maniac Minnows, 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" Cut'r Bugs in various colors. These lures usually work the best fished on a 1/8 oz heavy wire Ultra point Mustad hook.
The heavy wire hook won't bend or break when hooking the bigger Trout.
