McLEAN, Va. -Three new members have been appointed to the Future Fisherman Foundation's board of directors.

Ray Scott is one of America's outdoor icons. Field & Stream magazine placed him among its "Twenty Who Have Made A Difference" in the American outdoors over the past century. He has achieved his own legacy as the "Bass Boss," the founder of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.), the Whitetail Institute of North America, and as a publisher who framed the foundation for successful outdoor publications, including BASSMASTER Magazine, Southern Outdoors, Fishing Tackle Retailer and the award-winning national television series "The BASSMASTERS," the highest rated program on The Nashville Network (TNN). Ray has helped create and guide the multi-billion dollar fishing and hunting industries.

Brent Frazee of Parkville, Mo. has been the outdoors editor for The Kansas City Star for the last 30 years. During that time, he has won more than 35 national awards for his writing and photography. He also has been president of the Outdoor Writers of Kansas for the past 10 years, an organization that under his leadership has dedicated itself to encouraging more youths to become involved in the outdoors. A fundraiser each year provides monies for sending underprivileged kids to Outdoors Adventure Camp. Brent graduated with honors from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Mike Walker of Scottsdale, Ariz. owns the Walker Agency, one of the country's largest independent public-relations firms. He is a founding officer of the Marine Marketers Association of America, past director on the board of Boating Writers International, past president of the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association and incoming president of the Outdoor Writers Association of America. He's a graduate of the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas and earned his master's degree with honors from Fort Hays State University following three years active duty in the Navy during Viet Nam.

Established in 1986, the Future Fisherman Foundation unites the sportfishing industry and a nationwide network of state outdoor educators, national conservation groups and youth organizations dedicated to introducing America's youth to angling and the outdoors. These efforts help people of all ages have safe and enjoyable fishing experiences that foster conservation ethics.
