Just wondering if anyone out there could save me a trip and tell me if this cold has managed to put any usable ice on either of these two locations. Thanks.

No ice on Hyrum yet. Air temperature got down to -5°F last night. There's fog coming off the water surface at noon still (7°F currently), so this cold weather is sucking the heat out of it quick.

Awesome feedback on a shared question. Curious how Mantua and Porcupine might be doing. It's been wicked cold last night, and today.

Just planted an order with Cabelas's for ice stuff. Ok - I'm in.... gotta try for some tugs!

I was gonna snap a shot of MY pond for kicks. Half froze, except where the pump moves the water. Think I could stand on the front pond, but there's not fish.

Anyone go x-country skiing to drag out a sled?
Suppose there's lots of folks that take dogs to help watch for bites?

Look forward to updates.
Yea being able to take your dogs out on the ice is cool, but please try not to be the guy that can't control his animals. I'm all for dogs, but I don't think I should have to deal with someone elses dog all wraped up in my line or knocking over my tackle boxes. It seems to happen to me at least a couple times each winter.

Ditto on the dogs. Nothing is worse than someone's dog running all over the place harassing folks.

[#ff0000]Cross Country skis are the only way to go if there is so much as a skiff of snow on the ice. I really feel bad for the snow shoe folks.[/#ff0000]
