Twas a fun day on the hard deck. Arrived through the nasty drive by 10 or so. 2 of us headed out on the ice (not in the damn arm, on the main lake) and got to were we thought was a good spot. I am guessing the depth was 16-18 ft of water (finder battery was toast). Poked holes droped the lines down the hole and hits right off the bat. Another buddy showed up and headed out. Then 3 more buddies showed up 45 mintutes after that. 6 guys total and the total number of fish was 217. We all caught fish on everything, from glo ice flies to small tubes and baited with powerbait, night crawlers, salmon eggs, wax worms. Fun catching, fast action, lot of misses. At least 80% of the fish were 10 inches or smaller, maybe even 90%. I landed the one in the photo (not measured or weighed) and that was the catch of the day for our group of 6. We had 1 other fish that was over the slot but super skinny and maybe 16 (not measured).
Couple of things:
...Not in the Damn arm.
...-0- chubs caught
...Ice 4-5 inches and would get 1-3 inches of water if you sat in the same place for more than a couple of hours(but I am a fat guy)
I figered I would share my info, I gather alot of info from others for lots of lake conditions and fishing reports.
Thanks and yes the crown was tasty.....
Yes the ride home was nasty as well, snow packed roads and icy all the way to the windmills at the bottomw of the canyon.....
