Just to clarify, that's striper not stripper.[laugh]
My son is visiting for Thanksgiving and showed me these pics of his striper he caught at Lake Pleasant in AZ. It weighed 16 lbs 7 ozs. He caught it on a 2 oz Perk minnow made by Terminator.

Wow, that is a toad....biggest I ever caught was a 14+ pounder several years ago on a guided trip on Elephant Butte Reservoir. That was the only fish I caught in 2 days - I'm not complaining, it was a fish of a lifetime for me. Wish we had a solid striper, or whiper fishery here in Idaho.

very cool! I am moving back to Scottsdale in two weeks. Will miss the steelhead fishing but looks like i get to go back to Pleasant and catch some stripers! Way fun, i have had nights when we have caught too many to count. Haven't seen many that size though. Do you know if they were jigging or trolling?

He was vertical jigging with a spoon in 35 feet of water. He said that a silver 3/4 oz Kastmaster would work well.
Hulapopper, They are excellent eating. And yes, he did keep it and ate it.
