....you'll have to wait a little while. This photo was taken on December 1st. On my last trip to Lake Powell I experienced some outboard motor trouble that indicated a fuel starvation problem. I have replaced my two fuel filters and I needed to run the Mercury 150 EFI and I didn't want to drive all the way to Hite. I found out the ramp at Joe's Valley was clear enough to launch a boat, so I headed down there from my home in Price. I was able to launch without any trouble and I ran my boat at WOT for about 20 minutes. The motor ran fine and I was relieved my motor problem had been corrected with only $40.00 in parts and my own labor.
I don't think the lake will freeze before it reopens for fishing on December 14. If there isn't a significant amount of new snow, the boat ramp may be accessible for launching for a while longer.

a lot can happen in 2 weeks! i'm looking forword to fishing for some big splake when it opens up.. hard water or soft.. [crazy]
