The air temps seem to be a little lower in Arco and Mackay; I think you will find some good ice. This being what I believe is the 2nd year in the cycle you should have some good koke action. Please let us know how you do; my son and I go to Mackay every Winter Solstice. It has become quite the tradition.

you could try to call sammy's. i have called this store about road conditions before. i would imagine he could give you some sort of a report.

I talked to a guy briefly who said he fished Mackey this weekend. He said two of them limited out in 2 hours and the ice was plenty thick. Thats all the info I got it was a brief conversation. Let us know if you make it up there, take your camera as well.
