John called me up yesterday and asked if I wanted to go with him today. Since Rodbuilder came down sick Friday night, we didn't fish DD22Fish's tournament Saturday morning. Might as well make up for it. We launched from HBSP around 9 and headed north. Fish were shallow for us last week but that wasn't the case today. All our fish came in water 8-12 feet deep. Together, we caught 9 keepers with our best 5 going 16 lbs. I caught all mine on a blade and John caught his on a watermelon Zoom Vibra Tail Worm. The biggest fish we caught went 4.55 lbs (pictured). The 2 fish John caught (pictured) would've culled. My 4 other fish were either just over 3 lbs or just under. One of my keepers came aboard with a 6" lamprey attached to its head (pictured). Wind was important today. We caught nada when the water was calm. Water temps averaged 55 degrees.

Yes Jmax....I can catch 5.
