im looking for a rod that basically shoots the lure/bait without having to cast. my dad use to have a rod like this when he was a kidand he said it was his favorite one ever. im trying to get him something similar for Christmas but just cant find much of anything.

i have found the fogo rocket rod, but its gotten pretty dismal reviews everywhere i go. im considering getting him it anyways, but id really prefer to get him something thats going to work and isnt a child's toy.

does anyone know of a product such as this and am i even using the proper term?

the only ones I heard of were only a kids toy, they did work, but only shot out 10-15 feet on a good day.

I cant remember the name of it, There was also the pocket fisherman.

I do remember that topic of a fishing rod that shoots out was brought up here in our forum, and that is still in our back log of post on this board.
