All right, so I'm floating a river on Friday with a buddy, and we'll be chasing steelhead somewhere within a few hours of Moscow. However that's about as far as our plan has gotten. we were going to head to the Grand Ronde, but that looks too high with all the rains lately. SF Clearwater also jumped up in flow... Now I'm thinking North Fork? Anybody have any good recent reports or suggestions for destinations?

I havnt gone this year for the steelies but a few of my buddies have just gotten back yesterday and they I guess knocked em dead up northfork area they said that there were alot of natives being caught which I know can be as cool as it is frustrating because well you can look but you can't touch with them haha... But any way they said they did very good by ebenizer area rams head ect.... They even stoped at deer gulch on there way back and said that there were a few in there just far and between.. I think he meant NF of the Clearwater........... Anyways NF always has steelhead present. Floats and jigs are the top producer in there but in the right spots those spoons will work as well! If the flows bumped up in the SF that could have pulled more fish in. If youve got a drifter to float in you have potential to get fish from clear creek all the way down to lewiston.
