In need of updating the gear do to the fact my clothes are from the early 90's. It looks like good stuff but is it worth the money? I've been good so maybe santa will come through. Thanks for any info that you have.

I have heard good things about it, but it's very much a one season suit.
If you buy an uninsulated waterproof shell, you can layer other clothing underneath it and use it fall through spring. I got a Cabela's Guidewear jacket on clearance, and I'm very happy with it.

I have Ice Armor gloves and I haven't had any issues with them. You may already have them but I would get a shelter and a heater before I bought one of those suits.

I have the ice armor "blue suit." It is very warm and waterproof. The thing that I like about it the best is that it has pockets in all the right places, and it has padded knees and butt in the bibs.
It is meant to be worn along with layers of other clothes. If you layer correctly and finish with the blue suit you will find yourself very comfy.
The thing I don't like about it is they got cheap with the insulation in the arms. The arms don't have the insulation that the rest of the suit has and you can feel a slight difference. If your dressed in layers underneath it really doesn't matter.

so them suits do good them cause I want to be warmer this year I mean my snoboarding gear works fine but I would rather have somthing else and not make my boarding gear smell like fish... If you catch my drift.. Haha.. About where do they start in price...

I purchased some Arctic Armor last year and wished I had done it years ago. I bought a set of bibs along with a jacket and they are great. They are also meant to wear over layers of other clothing but they are waterproof and buoyant. It's a comforting feeling especially with the ice conditions like they are right now knowing that if you fall through you are at least going to float. They are very warm and comfortable and I have actually used the jacket for other outdoor adventures other than ice fishing. I think the set cost me roughly $300 and they threw in a free pair of Arctic Armor gloves with the purchase. Just thought you might like to know about another option. ]. It is very warm I don't use my ice tent much and I stay warm all day even in the wind.

Welcome to BFT icefishing4prch. I didn't go with arctic armor because I heard reports of the boyant insulation trapping heat inside and actually causing you to sweat and then freeze. I just move around a lot so I didn't want that to happen. Glad you like yours. I would like the safety factor.

Does anyone know how the Ice Armor compares to the Frabil suits that are available. I have seen, not used, the Frabil suits. They look really warm, and are also waterproof. Just curius if anyone know how they compare to each other.

I was going to say the same...I've got a nice ice shelter but I dont no why you couldnt pick up a cheap tent from Big5..cut the bottom out...get a Heater Buddy...and you're set

The big thing is mobility. I too set up an ice house when necessary with the family or extreme temps. More often then not I like to be mobile and hunt the fish down. That requires warm, waterproof clothing.

I don't think so. Ice Armor is made by Clam Corp. and I have heard mixed reviews on their customer service dept.
