[Wink] Anybody got a report on Cheterdields Ice ????

Monday there was good ice. A bit soft right at the edge, You could easily step across. Day time temp got up to 37* so there was just a skim of water that was on top. I thought it might make for a slippery walk back in but we had no problem. Did not measure the ice thickness but you will have no worries unless something drastic has happened.

[Image: happy.gif] I just got home from fishing Chesterfield today. The ice conditions were great, about 10 to 12 inches of solid clear ice. The fish really worked us over today though. Between a really soft bite and being our first trip ice fishing this year we had a hard time hooking fish. We only landed five but missed a ton. Fun day anyway!

just got back from there and did ok for only fishing for 2 or 3 hours 5 bites 3 fish landed for me all of which were pigs... My dad had probly 20 or 30 hits none landed.. Which sucked but it happens.. The best thing about the day was at the end of our day some fellas came pulling in 2 of them one seemed like he knew what he was doing but the other akted as if it was the first fish he has ever caught in his life jumping around doing the fist pump. Shouting yes half excpected him to tilt his hat fowerd grab his crotch and do a twirl. And the best part in that was when he landed the fish he shouted holy $!#+ what the heck is that... Went over and turns out is was his first fish ice fishing and I bet you he is hooked after that one...

Poor Poor Chesterfield.
If you guys aren't going to keep them, could you possibly keep them from flopping around too much on the ice?
I appreciate the ice fishing thing but I want a chance at those you release on soft water[Tongue]
