Got out this morning around 8ish and right off hooked a big one. Did not have the net out and was not sure it was a bass but I think it was. Cranking along a rock drop it slammed it and fought really hard. It started to jump so I stuck my rod in the water and got it to go back down. Got the net out with one hand while holding the rod with the other. By the time I was ready it was straight under the boat. I had the net ready and pulled up to bring it up. Right before I would have seen it it came off. emoBang I sure wished I could have seen that one. If it was a bass it was another good one.

For me it was not all that great of a day but it was nice to have the boat back and running. I managed six bass in the boat. Five keepers but nothing big. Of the six I had four on a blade, one on a shakey and one on a jerk. I lost another on a jerk swinging it in. :o I also missed two on a frog but never hooked up with one. I was kind of surprised to still get a hit on a frog with it as cold as it was. I missed about three others so it was a decent day. Just not any size came in the boat. The depth was all over. The frog hits were in about four to five foot and a couple I caught were suspended in about 30 foot. I have to get a new temp but I was told it was in the low fifties.

C-ya on the water.... emoAngler Jmax
