Out today w/ long time clients and GON Forum Members Rick and Angela Graham and . We fished from 10a-430p. We found some really nice spotted bass today from 12ft-45ft using Float N Fly, Jerkbaits, Drop Shots, Spoons, and Grubs. Main lake structure, (humps and points) were the ticket today for the drop shot/spoon, and grubs. The fish were stacked up thick along breaklines around the humps. Most of the bigger spots were suspended but there were a few fish around the bottom too. As for the Float N Fly the river bluffs were the deal, inside bend of the channel swings. The more vertical the better. 1/16 oz Red Rooster "Carters Special" again today.

Angela caught her biggest bass of her lifetime today and did it with the Float N Fly. She caught a 7lb 1oz Slimeball using a wimpy 8ft St Croix FnF Rod and 5lb Sunline leader LOL. It took a while but the hollow headed space eater finally give up. IT actually fought like a spotted bass so you could imagine my disappointment when I netted it. I thought about asking them to get on the bank to take the picture but that wouldn't have been polite so I let the slimey critter in the boat. After we snapped a few pics and washed our hands we got back after the spots and finished the day w/ a solid 4+ spot on the fly before calling it. Nice job Angie, you know I'm kidding.

Today's totals were, 28 spots and 1 Slimeball. Angie caught approx 20 herself, half on the fly and the others on Jerkbait. Rick stuck w/ the Fly and jig all day boating his fish. What a great day w/ two wonderful people. Thanks again you two, it's always a pleasure.

LB
