Spent the last few days fishing Naughton with a couple of my favorite fishing buddies. Didn't catch a whole lot but we did catch a few and we had a good time. Seemed like it didn't really matter the color of the offering as long as it was close to the bottom. We fished everywhere from 5' of water out to about 30', every fish we had bite was about 2' to 4' off the bottom and we had the best luck with the curl tail jigs. I did however have the fortune of losing one of my ugly sticks down the ice hole, guess that's what you get for not paying attention, lesson learned. Wish I could have learned the same lesson from watching someone else's pole disappear into the drink but I can laugh about it now. Ha ha ha. The ice was about 10" thick but there was a lot of snow coming down and it makes for a pretty long hike to get out onto the ice and there isn't many places for parking right now. Anyway, here are a few pics of my fishing partners. I also just want to send out a reminder on the fishing derby my youth softball team is putting on February 5th at Sulphur Creek. We are starting to get quite a few interested anglers and it should make for a good time, I've attached the flier again also just in case someone hasn't got it. Thanks and good fishing![fishin]
