But figured y&#39;all would like to see a big LM bass. <br /> My Grandmother and I ate a great lunch and got some stuff done this afternoon - afterwards I asked if I could fish the ponds in her neighborhood a little. She said no problem. <br /> All I had was my float and fly rod and some flies and that&#39;s all I needed emoTongue <br /> First pond I did not even get a bite, but the second pond was where all the action was. Caught 2 small LM right off the bat - then 2 carp going 5-8lbs a piece. Then I hooked up with another fish, figured it was a big carp the way it was fighting emoScratch Well shoot I havent caught a big LM in a couple years other than some 5lbers! Finally got her out of the water and snapped some pics. I didn&#39;t have any scales on me but figured it was a 6-8lb fish. Definatly no more than 8 pounds though. <br /> After that one I caught 2 more small ones in the 3rd pond. All fish were released to be caught another day.<br /> Was using 3-4FT leaders with a small fly. That fly was made by lurch154 and I got it from Jim a while back. <br /> Good hour or so of fishing, caught my PB largemouth for this year.
