Fishing Forum

So, as I said before, I headed out solo (with the company of my lab) this morning. Got the shelter set up and started fishing with on rod about 6:30. As I made my second hole, I caught 3 fish and missed at least that many. Needless to say before 8:00 AM the action was insane, only problem was that they were the smallest run of fish I have ever had at the berry (don't think any of my first 15 or so bows and cutts were over a foot long. Thought I was back at Scofield[crazy]). Fished until about 10:30, then packed up. The fishing slowed down after the sun came up (and the other anglers started showing up). BUT.... I will take a little slower fishing anytime to get some better quality. Ended up with many 17-18" cutts (biggest one going 20 1/2") and quite a few "cookie cutter" 15" football bows. All in all, a nice day out on the ice (at least in my QF4[], it was windy as hell outside.)
