Heading out in the morning. Will be fishing Thursday and Friday. Definitely planning on hitting Mackay, but also considering Magic, Little Wood, and Fish Creek. Any updates on the latest ice conditions and bite would be appreciated.

Yes Mackay is a must! Little Wood has great ice and I would fish close to shore in 30 feet of water. This lake gets deep fast if you fish in 60 feet a water I would fish in a 15-30 foot suspended area. For little fish they fight like crazy! I would definatly try Fish or Littlewood before going to Magic. Also there is a little lake in the craters area called Lava Lake I see float tubers on It in the spring, might be good there, be carefull there are hot springs in the area and it makes you wonder why it was named lava lake, probably the rock but you never know.

Are you going to be back in time Saturday morning for the Polar Bear Plunge at Lucky Peak?[

I'll be back in time, but I have other plans. I already did my plunge for the year. I am planning on making it an annual event as long as I can get someone to do it with me.[

Not sure how the fishing has been on the other places but Mackay has been fishing great. I went up again on Monday and again could not keep the kokanee off my jig. I have also caught a few trout every time I have gone. I have been fishing by the upper boat ramp in 22' of water. There is plenty of ice 9" 10". Good luck.

Looking for a nicer sized rainbow for the 7 fish challenge. I was thinking Magic would be the place for that. Also would like to catch a Brown as well, but I usually only get one of those about every 5-10 trips to Magic. Don't know of anywhere else were I'd likely get a Brown. Also need a Koke, so I thought Mackay would be the place for that. And I am wanting to get another Brookie since I lost my Brookie picture from Henry's. Was hoping to get one of those at Mackay as well. Are there big fish in Little Wood? Browns? Brookies?

can't help on the browns as I only know where to catch them on rivers!!! But I know of a res that never ever gets fished and has some very very big brookies in it 20+'' comes out of there.. I've scene a guy pull 8 brookies in a row being 24'' and bigger.. Any way it's hawkins res...... Also has bows but the bows are kinda smallish
