Decided to give utah lake a try this morning. We even drug the tent out so I wouldn't be cold. It was slow and we moved around quite a bit. We did manage white bass and two mud cats and one giant monster carp. I thought I had a real fish on the line and had to battle it for several minutes before I saw what it was. Yes, I caught it on 4 lb. test on a buzz stick pole on a small forage minnow tipped with a worm. Some of us like to do things the hard way. It was a good day just wish the carp had been a channel cat or a walleye. Maybe next time. Oh yes, the carp was 27 ".

Nice catch! I thought for sure you were going to give a big Ol' channel cat story.

[indent]Thats awesome! Who cares what kind of fish it is. It is bigger than most of the fish any one else on this board will catch through the ice this year!

It's a cutthroat from Strawberry. The shade makes it look blue!
