I'm hoping to get back up to Alaska this year. I loved Doc Warners and had a great time there. In fact here's a funny video of me landing a 50lb halibut.

Unfortunately with the messed up flights requiring an overnight in Seattle or Anchorage and the lower cost of Petersburg lodges, I'm thinking of heading there instead.
Anyone been to Petersburg who can tell me how the fishing is? It would be nice if some of the lodges would put "Catch Data" like Docs does on their site. That and the pictures these lodges post on their sites aren't the most impressive.
If you've been to both I'd really love to hear from you on how the fishing compares. I never spent much time in the lodge other than to shower and sleep so I'm much more interested in the fishing than the amenities. Plus, unlike most people who have gone to Docs, I didn't love the food, it was okay (they somehow managed to take all the flavor out of our fresh caught dungeness crabs). Thanks.
