Fished at the narrows toady for a couple hours. Ice is 3.5 to 4.0 thick, a little thicker in the cove in the narrows there, maybe 6 inches in some places. Caught 1 trout before the ice started cracking really bad every time I tried to walk somewhere, so we pulled the plug and moved to Cottonwood. Ice was 5 inches thick in the boat basin, but we never had a bite, and never saw a fish on the Aquaview either. I'd say bag it for a week or two if the weather stays cold, and not think about it at all if the weather warms up. I'm headed to either Cascade or Magic.

Its not too uncommon for the little nooks and crannys to freeze and have safe ice such as Cottonwood or the little bay at the mouth of the Narrows and Blacksands, and occassionally parts of main Res will freeze, but not safe enough to walk on.
