I was fortunate enough to ice fish four days in a row this week due to my brother being in town for a week and being able to take some time off work to fish with him.

We fished salmon falls on Wednesday, already posted a report.

Went to magic on Thursday and fished at west resort and over off lava point. Fishing for trout was fairly steady but we were looking for perch. Caught one keeper and some small ones. Marked a lot of perch right on the bottom but struggled to trigger them. Threw everything at them and could even get them to follow our jigs up but wouldn't hit, may have been mostly tiny ones. Tried depths anywhere from 6 to 40 feet. Sort of disappointing trip but the trout were fun.

On our way to Pocatello we stopped by sportsmans park on Friday for just a few hours in the afternoon. Caught one tiny perch and one planter trout.

On Saturday we started out at chesterfield and boy was it slow compared to a few weeks ago. Managed a few good sized bows but the action slowed considerably after the early bite. Biggest fish in our group was a 4 pound, 20 incher. We decided to go try Oneida for the afternoon/evening to try for some perch/walleye. Fished in the dam area and my brother caught one small walleye and that was it. Nice for him to catch a new species.

Would have liked the fishing to be a little better for that much effort but it was fun just to hang out with family, that's why I love ice fishing! Tight lines,

Early on the action was at 5-10 feet and later on 15-18 feet. Most fish were a foot or two off the bottom but a few were suspended up higher

These are the type of trips I remember the most! I love hiting multiple sites over a block of days. i am sure you visited a few gas stations to make this trip happen.
