Anyone know of any float tube only events for 2011 in southern cali?

[cool][#0000ff]We do have some So Cal members on our forum that might be able to chip in here, but I suspect you will have to search out some of the local tube fishing clubs. Are you looking for fresh water or salt water? I know the BayTubers bunch has a lot of get togethers to fish for halibut and other species in the protected waters around Long Beach. There are also some bass-oriented clubs but I can't give you any names.[/#0000ff]

Thanks for the info TubeDude. I kinda like to stay in freshwater (fish are smaller than me) but i will look more into tubing saltwater too.

[cool][#0000ff]There are lots of harbors and marinas where you can still tube legally...and where there are lots of fish that are just the right size for freshwater tackle. You just need to be sure to check the tides so you don't get swept out to sea or pinned against the back end of a channel until the tide changes.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Don't know how long you have been at it but if you hit some of the tuber-friendly lakes you will likely see other like-minded folks there too. Introduce yourself and make your own club if you have to.[/#0000ff]

I have led a club and a series of float tube bass tournaments the past couple of years. We are based in San Diego. As of now, I am up in the air as to whether or not we will run the tour this year. It depends on if I can get some help in terms of people committing to running some of the events.

So far I have been in charge of every event and I don't know that I can do that again this year.
