Oceanside, California - Hobie Fishing will be playing a visible role in the upcoming Columbia Sportswear Jacksonville Kayak Fishing Classic, May 7-8. Over 400 anglers, many of them on Hobie fishing kayaks, will compete in the eco-tourism event to benefit children's programs at Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville, Daniel Memorial, and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation. The winner of the Redfish-Trout-Flounder Slam will walk away with a Hobie Pro Angler including a Livewell, Stake-Out Pole, and Anchor Trolley. Hobie Fishing and Team Manager, Vince Console, will be on hand with eight Hobie Team members to compete, answer questions, and take part in the festivities. Hobie retailer, Black Creek Outfitters, is located just minutes from the tournament headquarters and will be available to help participants with any last minute needs.
