Does anyone have any experience with the Hodgeman Breathable waders?

Thanks!

I've had great luck with my Hodgeman's but others, not so much. I think it just depends on who you talk to!

Going on 4+ years with mine cpierce...

No problems other than they are kind of discolored a little with fish slime, worm guts, baits and such. I went with the 'waist' high pants just for tooning.

[cool][#0000ff]Like most tubers, I have "gone through" a few pairs of Hodgmans. Some leak right out of the box. Most develop pinhole leaks in the thin "breathable" fabric within a few trips. And once the leaks start they are impossible to fix. As soon as you plug one there are several more.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have had lots of discussions with other tubers on these "lightweights". As the old saying goes..."The bitterness of poor quality lasts long after the sweetness of low price."[/#0000ff]

Thanks all for the replies! I had heard vague rumors of leaks with the lighter weight Hodgmans. Good to know that some are doing ok with their's though. I am thinking I will pass on them. I do a lot of brushy adventures with my waders, besides the tubing.

I am just kind of doing some research before buying to replace my Simms. Right now I am leaning toward Wm Joseph's, or Cabela's breathables rather than the Hodgmans, though Hodgman's sale price is tempting.
