With the recent warm up in the Manila area (40+ degrees), the ice is melting and blowing away. [frown]

There have been numerous reports of soft edges because the reservoir is filling so quickly.

Does anyone have a current assessment of the ice in the key areas:

Buckboard
Anvil
Holmes
Marsh Creek

I am sure the northern areas like Lost Dog and Firehole will be fine, but I have talked with a few people that said even Buckboard is getting questionable....even more so with a thousand extra anglers on the ice this weekend.

Looks like it's time to pull the cover off the boat.

be safe out there it isnt very good!lots of open spots and very thin spot's. Iam sure the way the blacks fork is running! it is puting a lot of water on the lake and with water levals riseing so fast it is messing the banks up! good luck all and be safe ! your best ice will be from holmes crossing up every thing else south has perrty much opened back up![frown]
