Heading to Fishlake for the weekend tonight... any ideas on how to get started down there. I have been down there and fished from a boat a few times but never through the ice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fish finder, glow in the dark jigs, and meat. Either chub, perch or sucker. In that order. ~20' for rainbows and perch. ~40' for splake. ~80' for macs.

How do you fish from your boat? If you bait fish from your boat, then there really isn't anything different from bait fishing (or jigging) through the ice.
You don't need a fish finder if you don't have one. Just find the weedline (25 - 30' of depth) and start fishing. It's that simple.

Please let us know how you do. Are you staying in one of the cabins?

Tube jigs and minnows will work just fine. Might even be better than perch meat.

18 of my friends and myself will be there tomorrow through Sunday. We are renting 3 of the cabins between us. Come by and say hello. There will be 3, 6 man tents, and a small green 3-maner. We'll be in there.
