just wondering does anyone know if i can use a tip up and still fish with my 2 poles or is is 1pole and a tip up? an info would be great thanks

A tip up would be consider a pole. So with a 2 pole permit you could actively fish pole in hand and a second hole with a tip up.

It is 2 lines. 1 pole and 1 tip up. 2 tip ups. Or 2 poles. If tip ups didn't count, i.e. use 2 poles and a tip up, why stop at 2 poles and 1 tip up? Why not 2 poles and 2 tip ups? Or 3? Or 4? Nope. You may use a tip up as a pole.

Excuse me for tryin' to keep ya from gettin' a ticket. Next time I'll just say "yeah, you can use up to 6 lines or tip ups on certain waters, like Flaming Gorge." Then when you've bought half a dozen tip ups and get a ticket for it, you'd wanna be pissed at me. That's why they print the proclamation. So you can read the regulations.
