joes valley is an awesome reservoir! There is a nice campground that can fill up on holiday weekends, the reservoir is pretty big and i have never seen it get to crowded. in my opinion... one of the best waters in the state for recreation. as far as fishing goes; it does have some very big splake in it and fishing can be very good for them. it also has a chub problem. i read that joes valley did have some tiger muskee planted last year however i don't know how the fishing is for them. its a great place to go lots of fun things to do there, water recreation, fishing and atv riding being the three best.

Great thank you. Generally what is the weather like the end of june? Is it high enough that there could still be snow? of will have summer have started?
Also does the water get warm enough to swim in?
(need something for the non-fisherman of the group to do)
Thanks!

Joe's is awesome! It's not the only puddle out there either, with several other fishing holes very close by.

It's just a 20 minute drive from a hot desert to get there and it's nice and warm by late June. Access to the other lakes should be good to go by then as well.

It's rare to see very many people out there at the lake. Most are on their ATV's further up Olsen Canyon. You should go and you'll have a blast.

The cold water will be refreshing in that summer heat. It's really just a high desert, tucked away behind some mountains. Probably gets a little chilly at night though.

Enjoy. Fish with gold kastmasters and you should do well. If all else fails, worm under a bubble.
