Can't speak for Fish Lake, but was down to OC last Tuesday. Fished the north end. zero snow on it,(cleats a must) ice was 8 to 9" . No problem in the AM getting on, but as the day wore on, edges got soft. I wouldn't advise a wheeler on it till we get a few colder days, might have problems getting off. Fishing was slow, but the three of us did manage our limits. All nice fat fish, I'd guess 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. No little guys this time. Offerings were minnows and meal worms on rat finks. color didn't seem to matter. good luck

Welcome to the site bootsnfish.

I was at Fish Lake last weekend. I was in 70' of water a ways off the weedline. Most of the biters were between 15' and 40'. Best depth was about 20-25'. Mix of splake and rainbows. Largest in 2 days was a 17", 2 lb rainbow. Most of the splake were 14-16".

We got our fish on Gitzit Toughguys and small perch finish Kastmasters tipped with perchmeat. We probably caught about a dozen to fifteen each on both days we fished. (Caught and released of course.)

Good luck.

was there on friday (21st) and caught about 60 splake and rainbows in 4 hours. Fished just off the bottom in about 30 feet of water with small white jigs, tried deep for a while with the larger stuff and caught a few of the larger 18" range splake. My advice would be, make the trip to the east side and where you have snow on the ice, the west side wasn't producing much.....

My wife and I were up at Fish Lake Saturday. The ice was 10-12 inches thick with a skiff of snow on it. Cleets were needed since it was very slippery. We got there before sun up and did well for splakes and perch until lots of people showed up. When they saw that we were catching fish they moved over next to us and drilled a bunch of holes and shut the fishing down. I wish we had hiked over to the east side. We were in 17 feet of water just off the weed bed and saw lots of fish on the camera.

I was at Fishlake all weekend as well and Fish Otter Friday. Fishlake had close to 12in of ice everywhere I went. Otter had a good 8. Fish lake we caught mostly rainbows all weekend. From the folks i talked to down there they said it was the slowest weekend of the year so far. I fished from 20' out to 75'. Most fish were suspened
