I hit pelican lake again yesterday. Nice warm sunny day couldnt ask for better weather. I met another bfter on the ice kelly s and his girl friend. That was pretty cool as I had met him last year at the burbot bash

We fished out off of the east side of the lake and had pretty steady action most of the day but with this full moon as it has been in past years the bite was lighter and a bit slower but we still managed to catch lots of nice size bluegills and a couple of small largemouth bass.

We had a dnr officer check our liscenses and he said we were doing alot better than the others he had checked before us and we had the first bass he had seen to.[cool]

We missed alot of fish and lost some to. We sure had a great day catching fish, field testing new colors and baits I make. We sure had alot of great laughs together and got some pictures of our bluegills and largemouth bass

Pink glow and a darker color chart with black flake were the hot colors for the day but caught some on chartrese glow, orange and a few other colors. they were loving the split tails and Y tails we also did really well with the my mini minnows and some mini craws. they were really sucking up those baits[cool]

Looks like you had a good time Jim, I'd like to make it back down again this winter but too many things going on. Starvation may be as far as I get. I've never had a boat on Pelican in early spring maybe I'll have to try that.

Yes it was a great trip again. If you decide to get back up there this winter let me know and I will see if I can meet up with you. I havent ever fished starvation but might have to try sometime this winter or spring.

Can wait to get back out on the ice again. time is running out this winter with this crazy weather might be early ice out but I hope not.

Looks like a good day to me. Those plastics look nice and those 10" dinner plates look even better. I was worried that I would have to be digging out tons of parasites from the flesh but I only had 3 bluegills with parasites. Each one had maybe two at the most. Running them through hot grease seems to help [cool].

Thanks for the pics!
