[Smile]Finally talked my wife into going fishing again. We went to Lamont since it is only about 15 minutes from home and haven't been there for a while. I'm sure glad she went, she is a lot better fisher person for pan fish than I am. It was amazing for me to see her catch Perch, Bass, Bluegill and Trout out of the same hole. Only one small Bass three small Pearch, two medium size Bluegills and two small Trout. I took all afternoon to do it though.
Fishing was very slow to say the least. They were biting on pink jigs tipped with a small worm.
If you plan on going, the ice is solid to the edges and four wheelers are the way to go.

Nice! I like Lamont. It doesn't have big fish, but it has a variety, and it is fun.

yes lemont is a nice place... Very nice just to bad it's all private property except for the dam area.. So bank fishing is out of the question in the warm months..

It's definitely a nice place to take the float tube in the warmer months. I like to bring my light tackle there and throw little micro hard baits for all the little bass and panfish. Though that being said, the bluegill must eat better than the bass as I've caught a lot of good sized ones, but a 12" bass has me happy at Lamont.
