as im reading peoples reviews they say they are using a flasher above their bait and i was wondering what the flasher was and how you all are rigging up

next question i have an older hummingbird fish finder with a LDC screen any reason that would not work with ice fishing or is there an advantage to the flashers that many here are using?

A lot of us are using attractor spoons tied inline above the jig(s) with the hook. Simply tie a small spoon inline above the hook and then leader to your jig. Be sure your total leader length doesn't exceed the length of the rod so you can hook the bottom jig into the butt of the rod for travel.

The flasher spoons work really good for kokanee. For the trout I prefer to go with no flasher because the flashers ruin the paddle bugs action.
