Fished the restored area at the dam from 5-9 pm last Friday. Only 2 others ventured out in the rainstorms.[man you can get drenched in just a few minutes in that area]. Fished jigs and streamers and caught my usual 6 or 7 fish. The biggest one[ about 2 1/2 lbs.] went for a weighted zonker and was almost into his spawn colors. I've been fishing the middle Provo since April with jigs and I think I'm getting better at presentation but I still only hook about 1 out of 3 fish that look at my offering. The fly boys at Fish Tech tell me that a 1 to 3 ratio is about right until fall. Do you guys miss that many fish? Short of using a trailer hook any hints would be welcome.[ A skunk chased me back to my truck in the dark--I hate when they do that.!]
