Dont know if any of you have tried them yet but Pinnacle's new tournament line of rods and reels is the best value on the market today. This equipment pairs up professional-grade quality, precision and performance with a price tag that doesnt sem like a fortune. I've been using Pinnacle for four years now and I wont fish with anything else. Check out their website

I never fished with Pinnacle equipment, even when I was doing more freshwater stuff. The way bans are going on the east coast, there may be a lot more freshwater fishing in my future. [unimpressed]

Pinnacle rods are all value rods. This is a good rod to learn on. The heaviest casting rod in the company’s lineup, the DHC5-7112CAHSB is a good sturdy rod.
This heavy powered rod is 7’11” in length and features a classic telescoping design and is able to accommodate line weights between 14-30lbs. While powerful, it is also lightweight.
