Hey guys I am coming up to Idaho in the Morning. I have a family event on Sunday. So we thought we would do some fishing. We are thinking about one of these three lakes or anything in between. Our final destination is Idaho Falls. Any suggestions and where, what, how you would fish would be awesome. I don't want any secrets or anything special, just some General information based on your selection.

Not sure how your route will take you but Pali

es will have some access right along the hiway to park and walk out and fish. At least 3-4 spots real close to the lake for ice fishing. Pretty easy and simple. Not sure about the ice but after this last week it should be good. Someone should know here though. I hear some say to take a plank to get past the edges but it has been real cold.
Places on Ririe are not far off the main path either between Pali

es and IF.
Chesterfield is off the main road a bit for sure.
Trout are in Pali

es and Chesterfield. Small Mouth and Perch with Trout in Ririe. Kokanee in Pali

es and Ririe.
I am sure someone will tell you current ice and good techniques.
Alexander is along that route also and has catfish, perch, trout and huge carp. Easy access there in a few places also,
Have fun. Let us know how you did.

Thanks for the info, I know Chesterfield is off the main path a wee bit. But I had a friend go up on Thursday and the three of them had a great time and got into some really nice fish. So we thought it was an option. The biggest challange we are going to face is time. Get up early, early and try to get to somewhere or go in later and fish till Dark. Looks like the group is leaning to the afternoon fishing. I am just concerned about the potential snow fall tonight and any chance of a Slush monster in the afternoon tomorrow.
