Sorry the report is a bit behind but fished the South marina next to the big hill on Sunday w/ my brother. Fished at 35', 85' and everywhere in between. Caught 20-25 trout, missed 1000 or so (maybe exaggerating but it seemed that way). Had a few perch licking a Hali tipped with an eye at around 60' but couldn't hook up with any of them. Trout were taking glow cutters and glow tubes tipped w/ wax worm. Also started tipping w/ a salmon egg and the bite picked up quite a bit. No matter the depth most of the fish were biting between 15' and 25'. In the afternoon they seemed to be a bit deeper at 35'. Beautiful sunshine and no wind, came home happy and sunburnt.

Great Report!! I was thinking about heading up there saturday with my son and giving it a try..
If you dont mind me asking, what depths were producing the most fish and how far off the bottom were you fishing??

Seemed in the morning until about noon that the fish were in about 40' - 55' of water and about 20' down. In the afternoon the bite moved to deeper water 85' depth fishing 35' down. Hope you get into them, it really was a great trip. Don't know if it was due to the Superbowl or not, but we only saw maybe 5 other groups fishing all day long. Don't know if the North end had more people but the South end was pretty limited concerning the crowds. Good luck!

[frown] Good post.. I also was thier the same super Sunday! You did allot better than us.I got thier before sunrise,fished north of the island started at 25' then worked my way out to 36' (punched at least a dozen holes) then the botttom seemed to flattened out. marked some suspended fish every 20 min. or so but nothing bitting. After an hour or so we moved to the south side of the island with the same results. Not many people out thier but I saw one person land a bow, he was thier since 7 and that was his first bite. Anyway your right I't was a wonderfull sunny day to be on the ice!!!
