I haven't fished Pali

es in a few years. I am thinking about going in the morning any help in the form of PMs would be wonderful.
I have fished Big Elk on the lake side and the dam area. I have never done real great, but would like to try it again.
I thank anyone who could stear me in the right direction.
Thanks

We'll be there tomorrow. Not headed up too early though-leaving around 8:30 from IF. WE normally just fish off the dam face and do really well. White/clear squid bodies tipped with worms have been our "go to" rig the last couple of yrs but it's fishing....you never know.[cool]

We'll be headed up in the morning hopefully we get there around 7-7:30 in the am. My friends father fished the dam earlier this week and said he couldn't keep them off his line. I also have had good luck with the white tubes and worms and the last time we went last saturday I was even getting hits on pink and silver jigging spoons. If you come up we will be the ones with the green eskimo popup so stop by and see how the fishing is.

How do you access the lake by the dam . It is way to steep for me to get all my gear up and down . I parked at Indian Creek yesterday and road my snow machine about a mile north . I caught 6 Cuttrought , kept 4 . Two Suckers and four Chubs .Most were caught on a white Paddle Bug tipped with worm . Curt G.

Ride your machine to the Calamity boat ramp and come back around to the dam once you are on the ice. Or walk up and down the face of the dam like the rest of us poor schlubs without a snow machine!

I think my buddies said hello as you wee leaving. We had to two red pop ups. So far my buddies 5 and me 1. All cuts. Around 15-16".

I caught a cutthroat and a brown on my pink and silver jigging spoon right at the start and then a few smaller cutts. I think we probably would have had our limits if we kept them all but we put the smaller ones back. Think we ended up leaving with six in all.

I also got out for a few hours yesterday morning. The fishing wasn't red hot but the two of us managed 8. 6 cutts and 2 browns. all fish were between 16 and 21 inches. fished by blowout in 11-30 feet of water. caught them on jiggin shad rap, tubes, grubs, and hand tied bright orange jig.
