I took my scout troop down to Chesterfield res. for a campout last night. We arrived about 8:30 last night and got set up. We ended up having 9 boys come and 4 leaders. Three boys and myself set up tents on the ice and slept and the rest of the land lovers stayed on dry ground. Found out my quick fish three fits my cot perfectly and works great for a one man tent.
The boys wet a line last night and ended up icing one around 10:30 p.m. We got up around 6:00 this morning and fished until 12:00. We iced 7 fish with alot of missed bites and fish coming off at the hole. Most of the boys had alot of fun and some of them it was there first time ice fishing and they caught a fish.
Most important we made it home with no casualties! Always a relief as a scout leader! All in all it was a fun day and I'm glad I could share with them one of my favorite ice fishing spots.
