April 15-17th Riggins Idaho for the 27 annual jet boat race. Thus far the field looks like 8 to 10 boats with at least one unlimited jet turbine powered boat from Canada

Looks like fun. It reminds me of the old hydroplane races on Lake Washington. I always felt like I should lean forward for the boats to keep them from tipping!

i should mention that the hotels all book early for this event if you are planning on staying the night you may want to get a reservation now

What an awesome race and great time, I always plan my Turkey hunt so that i am heading through Riggins about that time..
I just pitch my Wall tent and spend a coupl'a days there, I have never been disapointed..

Heres one i have saved to my favorites, man them boys got some Brass Monkeys doin' 100+ MPH up and down that river, Dern Bug ya got me all fired up now..
