Great turnout for the Feb. CBA this month! We started out slow that morning and did not get a bite until 0900. We finally figured out somewhat of a shallow pattern and put one over 3lbs in the boat at our second stop. A short time later, we had another decent keeper in the well and I lost a really good one. emoBang After cursing each other for a short time, emoBadLanguage emoBig
we went further up river to our third spot and put another keeper in the boat. After lots of empty casts and 1 drum, we decided to head back down to the warmer water where we had first caught them to finish out a limit. While riding back, the lower unit decided to eat itself and we were now stranded in the middle of the river near Soddy. This happened about 1:30 and caused us to lose the last 2.5 hours of fishing! Fortunately, I had signed up for the Tow Boat US membership at last year's classic. They showed up fairly quickly, however, they could only tow the boat at 7-9mph back. Thankfully, Galen James and Tony Townsend met up with us and picked up Scott and our fish. We only had 3 that weighed just over 10 lbs but we were very fortunate to get to weigh any!

Thanks again to Galen and Tony for helping us out. Thanks also to Shane with Tow Boat US. By the way, the $50/year membership for unlimited towing is well worth it!! Congrats to the winners with the Monster 30 lb+ bag!
