Anyone have a recent report . I am headed up in the morning and just looking for any help you are willing to part with . I have been catching mostly Suckers and Chubs . I think I will try just under the ice instead of just off the bottom . Curt G.

Made a loop with the sled at Blowout on Sunday, nearly 2' of good ice covered with 4" to 6" of slush, topped with a couple inches of snow.

Fishing was slow, marked two fish in two hours.

Big Elk and Little Elk looked slushy also.

Thanks I will post a report when I get back . I am going to start at the Dam and try for a Brown and then move over to Big Elk and try for a Kokanee . I need both for our Contest . Curt G.

For the Kokanee go to the Bay side of Big Elk. use small jigs like rat finkees. Electronics help.

I went up there on the 1st caught a limit of kokes then spent the night and fished the lake side caught three cuts three browns and a sucker this morning. The ice conditions suck real bad at big elk. The bay side is about 5 inches of snow, 4 inches of water, and 4 feet of slush except for a few worn trails. The lake side is the 5 inches of snow, 3 inches of water, and a foot and a half of slightly harder slush. A few warn days and it is done, be careful.
