Although I didn't enter into the contest nor have I ice fished this season I am wondering who has caught the number of species required.
Wasn't it about one of at least 6 different species and after that it you could be comsidered in the final if you entered at the start?
It seemed to me being in Idaho to catch at least one of each species you had to be doing some serious fishing at times.
How many of you have caught at least one of each required?

I have honestly caught the required 7 species. My rainbow is AWOL because I broke my camera. I have since misplaced my camera because it was broken I set it asided before I thought about it and decided I could probably get the pictures off. I am still trying to find it. I really just thought I would get time to catch another rainbow. Didn't happen. I'm not trying to make excuses. I am just playing for the fun of it like most of us.
It has been a good time. I know I fished a few places I wouldn't have because of the contest. It got me out of my comfort zone. We have seen some exceptional fish caught and many of them by different people. Check the Standings and pics on the contest board. Iwannabuggy has done a great job keeping track on an excel spread sheet.
Join us next year. A month at Henrys should make it interesting.[

That extra month at Henry's is why I bought a snowmachine . I got a good deal $500.00 for a 94 Artic Cat with less than 4000 miles on it .

I'm thinking that if a guys doesn't spend at least a couple days and Henry's to get a nice brookie and a Cutthroat/Hybrid, he won't even have a good chance of winning next year. 7 species takes some work, for me atleast. I caught the 7 species as well, but when I took the picture of my coho, I mistakely grabbed the rainbow sitting next to it and didn't get a picture with length of the coho. Oh well. It definitely stretched me to go to places I might not have gone otherwise. Looking forward to competing again next year.

Windriver how big is that Rainbow? I have had a lot of fun this year with this contest. I never made it to henrys and I thought that I would never be-able to compete with the guy's that did. I have a 1" bigger sucker and a 1/2" bigger koke to post..
So if my math is correct I am 15.5" out of the lead. I am going steel head fishing this week for a few day's if there is any Ice left when I get back I will be going after a brown my 7th fish. I am coming after you guy's [
