marty, are you trolling or fishing from the shore. A guy I spoke to at Sportsmans said it seemed like poeple are doing better from shore rather than trolling. I have been trolling for them twice this year with no luck and I caught one from the shore last year.

We were trolling. I think last count that was close to 25 we have caught this year between the 3 of us that usually fish together (I have only landed 2 of those 25) We have probably had at least another 25 hookups of fish that we weren't able to land. They say the muskie is the fish of 1000 casts but I think you cut that way down if you troll. I also think you have to cover a lot of water to catch them consistently. We have had hookups in almost every part of the lake this year. The more you go the better your odds.

Nice Muskie Marty. I went up for a couple hours tonight with no luck. I did snag a carp by the tail and for a few minutes I thought I had a muskie it was a real good fight. I am going to give it another try tomarrow after work.

We do move pretty fast. We have been catching most of them on larger Rapala's Color doesn't seem to matter as much as size.

Nice fish Marty , I hope to get my muskie casting , that is just my preference . I just want that fish to try and rip my rod out of my hands .LOL I think I hit the 2000 casting mark or more and I'm still eagerly waiting to get one . Just got to get some luck on my side , and some good timing . I blame it on only getting weekends off .
