Looking to make one last trip. Anybody been there in the last couple days? I would really like to know how the ice is prior to making the drive. Thanks

Went up this morning. Got on the lake via Browning Point. Edges are going bad very fast. It was hard to believe there could be so much change in one day. Was able to get on the ice, off of the obvious point just to the right as you get to the bottom of the path. Tomorrow you will more than likely need a plank. Noticed there were half a doz. fisherman off the north side of cemetery point. One out fit at the bottom of the port ramp. Up in the narrows there were about three. Where we set up we were ankle deep in water. Walking, we were breaking through the soft crust. I'm sure the other areas were the same.

Went out yesterday, 3/11, northside of cemetary point. Very slushy, got worse through the day. "Swiss cheese" comes to mind seeing all the open holes. Slow day but still came home with perch. Not sure ill be back before ice off.

We also hit PV yesterday for our last hard deck experience...Hoofed out from the Port Ramp ice conditons are the same as the others have mentioned. Shorelines soft, overall very slushy, with lots of standing water. [Smile][Smile]
