BENTON, Ky. (March 13, 2011) - Nominations are being accepted for three positions on the Professional Anglers Association Board of Directors.

Nominees must be PAA Tour- or Legends-level members in good standing and willing to accept the responsibilities of serving on the Board. Board members solicit and receive input from members, and consider, discuss and vote on matters related to the PAA's finances, schedule, membership and other topics.

Three seats will be available following the end of the service of John Crews of Virginia, Kurt Dove of Texas and Kelly Jordon of Texas.

"We greatly appreciate the time, effort and dedication of John, Kurt and Kelly over the years of their service," said PAA President Chad Morgenthaler. "They have had, and will continue to have, an impact on the organization and its members even as we move forward with new leadership.

"I urge all PAA Tour and Legends members to consider serving on the Board or nominating someone you believe will be beneficial to the PAA, its membership and fishing. The PAA continues to grow each year and helpful, constructive leadership is required for any organization to move forward."

Voting for the new board members will be limited only to PAA Tour- and Legends-level members. Nominations may be submitted by any PAA member. Nominations will be accepted through the close of business on Monday, March 21.

Elections will be held starting Monday, March 28 and will end at 5 p.m. CT on Monday, April 11.

To make a nomination or volunteer to serve, contact the PAA office at (270) 527-2030 or email Lisa Bell at lisa@fishpaa.com during regular business hours, or you may leave a nomination on the PAA voice mail.
