Put on my rain gear and decided to go for a walk

. When I got there the river was a little dirty but cleared up pretty good by the time I left. Fishing was really slow but I did manage to catch a mixed bag. 7 brown, 3 hybrid, 1 cutthroat & 3 suckers. Nothing big all were around 12" to 14". Not a bad way to spend a rainey day
On the way home when I was going over twin bridges I seen a guy that was not having a very good day.

See last pic. He was at the south bridge on the east side.

Thanks for the update. Those guys look really stuck. I really need to get out, but I'm living through your reports for awhile.

Nice looking fish...
Funny thing is about 2 weeks ago I was almost in the same position as that white jeep in that very same hole! Luckily I got out but it was a little scary for a bit while we were half way over on our side.
What did you catch those fish on if you dont mind me asking...I saw those egg pattern looking things but that cant be what it was...

NIce work. . . I am going again tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to get some bigger fish to bite for me this time. I might go further upriver this time.

Or very board [crazy]. I would rather stand on the river in the rain than sit at home wondering what if. One good thing about a day like yesterday was I had the river too myself[

Those were not a egg pattern just colored beads. I was bouncing sucker meat off the bottom.

Well it was definetely working for you. Thanks for the reply...
I am hoping to head out on the SF this weekend to whip some wooly buggers around. It seems that most people are doing pretty good out there right now and I have found some new spots I want to fish with my new gear.

What is the purpose of the beads with sucker meat?

Check out Tubedudes post on the Utah board on Catfishing. He does the same thing and gets many more hits on the beaded cut bait.
By the way why aren't you gone Steelhead fishing?

Just a little color for an attractant. Not sure if it makes a big difference or not but it don't hurt.

After seeing a guy catch multiple steelhead last fall on a rig of five size 8 corkies and a piece of shrimp I no longer question peoples tactics. He not only outfished my normal and proven rigs, he had no clue what he was doing. Not trying to start anything with this comment.

I was not questioning his tactics. Just trying to learn something new. I thought it might be for more color.
