Not a dumb question!
there's no such thing as a dumb question........, unless I ask it.
you might have a hard time tomorrow. When I drove by the jordan last couple times, its moving high and fast- just like carl lewis!

LMAO Nice ! I like it better high than low so thats actually kindoff reassuring thanks man !

No! He means really high! There is know way to get a bait in front of a fish the way it is moving right now, full run off force. I went by it the last few weeks and it seems to be getting faster every time I have passed it or been by it.

Yea it's really high. I tried After work Monday and only stayed for about ten min. The water was too fast for what I was trying to do.

I posted this a few weeks back, but with warmer weather and people getting the itch it may be worth posting again. I expect to see these high flows for awhile. The Salt Lake County region is currently at 140%+ for snowpack.

Receieved this info via an e-mail due to my job duties.

[#00bf00]Commissioner John Larsen indicated he will post the level of Utah Lake on our web site each day for the next two weeks. He indicated Utah Lake is now 0.33 ft below compromise elevation (4489.045 ft). They now plan to open the gates on Feb 11, but that date could change if necessary. [/#00bf00]
[#00bf00][/#00bf00]
[#00bf00]The commissioner makes a substantial effort to notify everyone of the opening of the gates as requested. We thank him for his coordination and reporting efforts to maintain the lake operation according to the established agreements. [/#00bf00]
[#00bf00][/#00bf00]
[#00bf00]Last year when the gates were opened the flow of the Jordan River increased to about 900 cfs. We expect about the same flows this year.[/#00bf00]
[#00bf00][/#00bf00]
[#00bf00]The following instructions may help us answer concerns or questions from anyone concerned about the operation of Utah Lake and the Jordan River. The gates continue to be lifted with a crane, but there are plans to upgrade the automated controls within the next couple years.[/#00bf00]

I found a small pool around 9800 s. off a drain pipe, and caught sucker, and carp on every cast. That was a few weeks ago, and the water was very high and fast.

Nice man thanks !!! I might go try it !

The river more towards the city is totally BROWN. The flow is definitely on! And that flow just from Tuesday. I walk the river everyday and see the changes, but again, more to the north.
