Me and a buddy of mine make a annual trip up to fish Brownlee/Oxbow from the Ogden area. We usually come up the first day of June for about 4-5 days of fishing. One of the guys in our local tackle shop down here suggested we stop up at CJ Strike and give that a shot. He said that is one of his favorite spots up there.

Neither one of us have been there before. Where exactly is it and how did we get there? Is there anywhere close to stay a night or two? What type of fish are in the lake?

Any info would greatly be appreciated.[Smile]

Get of I-84 at Mt Home. Head towards Bruneau. After passing through Bruneau, bear to your right an head towards Grandview. There will be several places on your right that all go down to Strike from there. Do you have a boat? Strike fishes a lot better from a boat than it does from the shore, although shore fishing can also be productive.

Strike is a reservior on the snake river. There are several places to stay. Cove is pretty nice and fairly cheap. You'll hit Cove not too long after you bear right towards Grandview after you leave Bruneau. There are Catfish, Trout, Crappie, Perch, Sucker, Squawfish (ooops, I mean Northern Pike Minnow), SM Bass, LM Bass (????), Blue Gills, and I don't know what else.

Thanks for the info. We will be fishing out of a nice Skeeter with all the bells and whistles. We have heard there are some nice largemouth in the there along with nice smallies. That is what we are targeting.
